Liquid Waste Treatment Done By Sewage Treatment Solutions Providing Units

Wastewater treatment involves a bunch of steps. Sewage treatment solutions providing experts treat liquid waste from flushing the toilet, washing sinks, bathing, and general cleaning goes down the drain, which further connects a larger sewer pipe under the road. These larger pipes join a bigger pipe that brings the sewage to the treatment center.

There are distinct stages included in the sewage water treatment process. In this post, experts will talk about these stages in detail.

  1. Screening

The first stage is screening of the wastewater treatment process. Under screening, large objects are removed, like nappies, diapers, sanitary items, face wipes, cotton buds, bottle tops, broken bottles, plastics, and rags. This step is important because large objects may block or damage equipment.

Experts also use special equipment to remove grit that is washed into the sewer.

  1. Primary treatment

This step includes the separation of organic solid matter from the sewage water. Experts perform primary treatment by putting the wastewater into the large settlement tanks. These tanks are designed to hold the solids at the bottom of the tank. This settled solid is known as sludge.

Large scrappers are equipped at the bottom of these circular tanks, which scrape the floor of the tank and push the sludge to the center where it is transferred for further treatment through pipe. The remaining water is then shifted to the secondary treatment.

  1. Secondary treatment

The water is put inside the large rectangular tanks. These are known as aeration lanes. Air is pumped inside the water that influences bacteria to break down the sludge bits that escaped the process of sludge scrapping.

  1. Final removal of bacteria and odor

This is the final stage in which treated water is passed through a settlement tank. In this process, more sludge is generated at the tank bottom due to settling of the bacterial action. The sludge is scraped and gathered for treatment. After this, water becomes free from harmful substances and chemicals.

This water is later allowed to flow on a wall, where it is filtered via a bed of sand. This expels the extra particles that may remain untreated.

This filtered water is later released into the river.
